PADI Scuba Diving Course Outlines Here at Scuba Safaris we tailor courses for every diver from the novice to the experienced, the following is a description of the courses we offer so you can decide which best suits you. The order of progression is as follows: Discover Scuba Diver; Scuba Diver; Open Water Diver; Adventure Diver; Advanced Open Water; Specialty Diver and Leadership Levels. *Certain Medical conditions may exempt one from participating in scuba diving, if in doubt please consult a diving physician in your area prior to booking a dive course and avoid disappointment. Discover Scuba-Diving or Resort Course: Scuba Safaris' most popular beginner-diver experience: Offering a great opportunity for those keen to try diving for the first time, our carefully selected beginners site at Emerald Cove provides safe and easy conditions for the novice diver. After a surface briefing, new divers accompany our instructors and divemasters to an initial depth of less than ten feet, at their own pace on secure lines in clear, calm conditions. After taking time to become relaxed and comfortable in the underwater environment, we will guide you over a beautiful shallow reef, teeming with tropical fish and edged by channels of white coral sand, home to tiny garden eels, stingrays and graceful eagle rays. The experience lasts around forty minutes, and once back on board we follow up with a slow cruise along St Kitts southern peninsula, where you enjoy complimentary refreshments to a background of cool Reggae music, before heading back to Nevis. Duration 3hrs Min age 10yrs Min Number 2 Note: "Introductory Scuba" is not a certification course nor will it enable you to rent scuba gear, however, you may do as many dives as you wish accompanied by a Scuba Safaris instructor. The introductory scuba lessons are often an incentive to pursue a complete scuba diving certification. The PADI Scuba Diver Course: If you enjoyed your 'try dive', (of course you did!) give us a day of your time and we will turn you into a certified card carrying Scuba Diver. A little evening study followed next morning by a simple quiz, some basic scuba exercises in the pool or off the beach, and a return trip to the reef is all it takes to get you immersed in what we believe is the coolest sport of all. Your entry level certification is accepted throughout the world, lasts a lifetime, and can be built upon in stages to allow deeper or specialist dives. Basic entry certification level-Duration 2 days. Minimum age 10 years. Minimum Number 1- Maximum Number 8 PADI Open Water Diver Course: The Open Water Course incorporates the Scuba Diver Course, but goes further towards making you a truly accomplished diver. A little more theory work, including a more detailed introduction to the various effects of pressure at depth upon the diver, some more pool training, two further-and deeper-ocean dives, and a final exam complete the package. Your knowledge of dive equipment and its functions underwater is enhanced, as is your ability to maintain improved buoyancy and your understanding of safey for both yourself and your dive buddy. Open Water certification is a stepping stone to becoming an Advanced Open Water Diver.Certification level for 60 feet. Duration 3-5 days. Minimum age 10 year. Minimum Number 1 - Maximum Number 8. ``(You can get started on your Open Water Course at home by simply clicking on the e-Learning Banner at the top of this page)`` |
